 Jackson police say hanging death of mother of four was staged in drug case gone wrong  Jackson police say the death of 29-year-old Tasia Fortune, whose body was found hanging from a tree in early August, was a staged scene connected to what investigators believe was a drug-related case that went wrong. Police Chief RaShall Brackney said Monday that Fortune's death has been classified as a homicide and that investigators believe the scene was deliberately arranged to mislead authorities. Three men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with Fortune's death: 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff, 25-year-old Earnest Lloyd Jr. and 45-year-old Eric Clark. Police said Fortune had a known association with the suspects. Ratliff pleaded not guilty at a Sept. 14 hearing. The status of pleas and legal representation for Lloyd and Clark was not immediately clear. Police said the investigation remains active and that additional arrests are possible. A 30-YEAR-OLD INTERIOR DECORATOR, ESOHE AIGBE, HAS REPORTEDLY BEEN HACK-ED TO DE-ATH AFTER VOLUNTEERING HER SERVICES AT A BURIAL CEREMONY IN BENIN CITY.(VIDEO/PHOTO).

 A 30-year-old interior decorator, Esohe Aigbe, has reportedly been hacked to death after volunteering her services at a burial ceremony in Benin City.


According to reports, Esohe offered to decorate the funeral venue free of charge as her contribution to the event.


Family members said she had accompanied a friend to help with decorations at a venue located on Ujo Street in the Ogida area.


After completing the assignment, she reportedly remained at the venue when she was attacked by unidentified assailants.


She was rushed to University of Benin Teaching Hospital with serious injuries but later died while receiving treatment.


Her body has since been deposited in a mortuary.


Relatives have called on security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.


As of the time of this report, no arrests have been made and the attackers have not been identified.
