OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS TERRORIST INFILTRATION, DISRUPTS LOGISTICS NETWORKS, ARRESTS COLLABORATORS The Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has recorded significant operational successes in its ongoing counterterrorism and counterinsurgency campaign across the North-East. Through a combination of offensive operations, intelligence-led actions, and collaboration with local security stakeholders, troops successfully foiled a terrorist infiltration attempt and disrupted terrorist logistics and support networks, further degrading the operational capabilities of insurgent groups in the Theatre. In Borno State, troops responded swiftly to the sighting of terrorists advancing toward the North East Theatre Training School, Buni Yadi, at about 9:00 a.m. on 9 June 2026. A FLORIDA MAN WAS FORCED TO CROUCH OVER HIS SEVERELY INJURED WIFE'S BODY, TO FEND OFF PIT BULLS WITH A KNIFE. SADLY, SHE WOULD PASS AWAY FROM THE ATTACK. (PHOTO).

A Florida man was forced to crouch over his severely injured wife's body, to fend off pit bulls with a knife. Sadly, she would pass away from the attack.

On Tuesday May, 19th, Donnell Smith returned to his Brevard County home after helping a neighbor. He immediately noticed his wife, 50-year-old Jodi Cowan, and the couple's pet dog were missing.

As Donnell began to investigate, he heard nearby cries for help. As Donnell moved towards those cries, he was horrified to see Jodi being dragged down the road by two pit bulls.

When Donnell made it to Jodi, she was lying in a pool of blood and had dog bites all over her body. As he began to attempt to aid his wife, the pit bulls began approaching in an attempt to drag Jodi away again.

Donnell described the following scene, saying, "I pulled my knife out, just swinging it with one hand and holding the blood with the other, trying to stop her from bleeding."

Donnell believes Jodi must have tried to stop the pit bulls from attacking their small dog. Security footage shows Jodi walking down the street carrying their dog only moments before the attack.

Jodi Cowan was ultimately flown from the scene of the attack but sadly succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The pit bulls are owned by a resident in the neighborhood and have a documented history of terrorizing residents. Donnell claims the Brevard County Sheriff's Office is aware of the issue but has failed to take any action.

Both pit bulls have been confiscated following the attack on Jodi Cowan. However, no charges have been filed in connection to her death at this point.

Our thoughts are with all of Jodi's loved ones at this time.
