A car filled with fireworks exploded during an illegal religious parade in central Mexico, killing a teenage boy and injuring at least a dozen more, terrifying video captured. Locals were participating in a procession Thursday in the city of Cuautitlán Izcalli — 21 miles from Mexico City — as part of an annual patron saint festival honoring San Francisco de Asis. Adults and children are seen celebrating as confetti hovers in the air when the pyrotechnics loaded into the vehicle catch fire, the video shows. Bystanders then turn toward the vehicle when the blast suddenly goes off. The person filming is knocked off their feet, while a person is seen sobbing nearby, according to the horrifying video.  ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND SUES FOR CALM OVER VIRAL VIDEO OF ABUSE/ASSAULT, NOTES THAT ONE OF THE SUSPECTS IS IN CUSTODY AND EFFORTS BEING INTENSIFIED FOR THE ARREST OF THE OTHER


The Anambra State Police Command has called on members of the public to remain calm following the circulation of a disturbing viral video showing two young women physically assaulting another girl in Umueri.


The Command confirms that one of the suspects, Chidimma Ogugua, aged 19, has been arrested and is currently in Police custody, while efforts have been intensified to apprehend the other fleeing suspect.


Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was subjected to physical abuse following a disagreement. The Command strongly condemns the act, describing it as cruel, inhuman, and a clear violation of the law.


The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, reassures the public that justice will be served and reiterates the Command’s commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of all individuals, especially vulnerable persons.


The Command further urges anyone with useful information that could aid the ongoing investigation or lead to the arrest of the fleeing suspect to come forward, assuring that such information will be treated with utmost confidentiality.


Further developments will be communicated as the investigation progresses.
