 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  APC Senatorial Aspirants In Kaduna Sign Peace Pact Ahead Of Party Primaries


Senatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the three senatorial zones of Kaduna State have signed a peace pact ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries, pledging to ensure peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral processes.


The peace pact signing ceremony was held at the Kaduna State Police Headquarters and brought together prominent APC stakeholders, aspirants, and party representatives from across the state.


Among those present at the meeting were Distinguished Senator Danjuma Tella La’ah, Amb. Yerima Usman Shettima, Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani (Ciroman Rigachikun), Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha, and Engr. Dr. Michael Ayuba Auta, alongside several other APC aspirants and political leaders.


During the engagement, the aspirants collectively reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful conduct before, during, and after the primary elections. 


They also pledged to uphold democratic principles, promote issue-based campaigns, and maintain mutual respect throughout the political process.


The stakeholders strongly condemned violence, intimidation, hate speech, and all forms of political conflict capable of undermining party unity and democratic stability in Kaduna State.


They further commended the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for their proactive role in sustaining peace and ensuring a conducive political atmosphere ahead of the APC primaries.
