 World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler.  APC Senatorial Aspirants In Kaduna Sign Peace Pact Ahead Of Party Primaries


Senatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the three senatorial zones of Kaduna State have signed a peace pact ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries, pledging to ensure peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral processes.


The peace pact signing ceremony was held at the Kaduna State Police Headquarters and brought together prominent APC stakeholders, aspirants, and party representatives from across the state.


Among those present at the meeting were Distinguished Senator Danjuma Tella La’ah, Amb. Yerima Usman Shettima, Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani (Ciroman Rigachikun), Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha, and Engr. Dr. Michael Ayuba Auta, alongside several other APC aspirants and political leaders.


During the engagement, the aspirants collectively reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful conduct before, during, and after the primary elections. 


They also pledged to uphold democratic principles, promote issue-based campaigns, and maintain mutual respect throughout the political process.


The stakeholders strongly condemned violence, intimidation, hate speech, and all forms of political conflict capable of undermining party unity and democratic stability in Kaduna State.


They further commended the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for their proactive role in sustaining peace and ensuring a conducive political atmosphere ahead of the APC primaries.
