 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  APC Senatorial Aspirants In Kaduna Sign Peace Pact Ahead Of Party Primaries


Senatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the three senatorial zones of Kaduna State have signed a peace pact ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries, pledging to ensure peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral processes.


The peace pact signing ceremony was held at the Kaduna State Police Headquarters and brought together prominent APC stakeholders, aspirants, and party representatives from across the state.


Among those present at the meeting were Distinguished Senator Danjuma Tella La’ah, Amb. Yerima Usman Shettima, Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani (Ciroman Rigachikun), Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha, and Engr. Dr. Michael Ayuba Auta, alongside several other APC aspirants and political leaders.


During the engagement, the aspirants collectively reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful conduct before, during, and after the primary elections. 


They also pledged to uphold democratic principles, promote issue-based campaigns, and maintain mutual respect throughout the political process.


The stakeholders strongly condemned violence, intimidation, hate speech, and all forms of political conflict capable of undermining party unity and democratic stability in Kaduna State.


They further commended the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for their proactive role in sustaining peace and ensuring a conducive political atmosphere ahead of the APC primaries.
