 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband. ARREST OF SUSPECT FOR CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, TRESPASS AND THEFT IN BAUCHI


The Bauchi State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in its fight against crime following the arrest of a suspected thief by operatives of ‘E’ Division, Yelwa.


On 3rd May, 2026, at about 0916hrs, a patrol team from the Division arrested one Saidu Isah, male, 27 years old, of Almuri in Misau Local Government Area. The suspect was apprehended with three smart television sets, each valued at ₦400,000.


Subsequently, upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to having criminally conspired with one Abdul (surname unknown) alias “PA” of Wunti, who is currently at large. The duo, in furtherance of their unlawful act, trespassed into the premises of the National Broadcasting Commission located behind Elim Church, Yelwan Tudu, Bauchi, and carted away the three television sets.


Meanwhile, the case is under active investigation at ‘E’ Division. The suspect will be charged to court accordingly as soon as preliminary investigation is concluded, while efforts have been intensified to apprehend the fleeing accomplice.


In view of the above, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+) reassured the public of the Command's resolve to safeguard lives and property across the State. He therefore urged residents and organizations to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest Police station or through the Command’s Control Room line: 08151849417
