 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE SWIFT RESPONSE: POLICE/COMMUNITY ARREST TWO ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS, RECOVER STOLEN VALUABLES IN BIRSHI GANDU In its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, the Bauchi State Police Command,  has recorded yet another commendable breakthrough following prompt response to a distress report. On 17th October, 2026 at about 1015hrs, four complainants (two males and two females), all of Birshi Gandu, reported at 'E' Division that on the same day, while they were asleep in their compound housing Cozy Resort Hotel, three hoodlums armed with knives and machetes forcefully broke in and dispossessed them of their personal belongings including Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23, Redmi Note 14, iPhones, iPads, a Lenovo laptop, a Samsung tablet, power banks, earpods and other valuables running into millions of Naira, including office ID cards and driver's license.  Botswana's former president Festus Mogae dies at 86


Botswana's former president Festus Mogae, who led ​the diamond-rich nation for a decade ‌and won praise for good governance and the fight against HIV/AIDS, has died at the age ​of 86, the government said, declaring three ​days of national mourning.


Mogae served as ⁠Botswana's third president from 1998 to 2008, ​handing power to his vice president, Ian Khama ​in a smooth transition that highlighted the southern African nation's reputation for political stability.


An economist by training, ​Mogae was credited with successful management ​of Botswana's economy. He tackled HIV/AIDS openly at a ‌time ⁠when Botswana faced one of the world's highest infection rates, and adopted one of the African continent's most comprehensive programmes against it.


Born ​in Serowe ​on August ⁠21, 1939, Mogae studied in Britain before joining Botswana's civil service ​shortly after independence in 1966. He ​served ⁠as finance minister and vice president before becoming president.


Mogae stepped down after the maximum ⁠of ​two terms allowed by the ​constitution.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
