Davido Named Among 2026 Inductees for Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta

Davido has been selected as one of the inductees for the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta.

The organisers unveiled Davido as part of this year’s honourees ahead of the induction ceremony scheduled to take place on June 1 at Atlanta’s Historic Westside.

The recognition places the Afrobeats star among several influential figures celebrated for their contributions to Black music, entertainment, and culture globally.

Other personalities announced in the 2026 class include Ludacris, Paul Morton, and former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson.

Davido now joins the list of African entertainers previously honoured by the organisation, including late Afrobeats icon Fela Kuti.

The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame was established by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus to celebrate Black entertainers and cultural figures who have made a global impact.

The honour comes as Davido celebrates 15 years in the music industry. Reflecting on his journey, the singer recently wrote on X: “God is the best of all planners! 15 years in da game”.

Born in Atlanta, Davido officially launched his music career in 2011 and gained major recognition after releasing “Dami Duro,” a breakout track from his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo.

Over the years, he has released several successful projects, including A Good Time, A Better Time, Timeless, and 5ive, while also earning multiple international award nominations, including at the Grammy Awards.
