 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. EDO POLICE COMMAND DEPLOYS ADEQUATE SECURITY FOR EID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION


The Edo State Police Command has put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure a peaceful, safe, and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration across the State.


The Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, fdc in collaboration with other sister security agencies has ordered a robust deployment across the State to intensify visibility policing, strategic patrols, intelligence gathering, and surveillance operations before, during, and after the festivities.


Six thousand (6,000,000) Personnel from various formations including tactical units, Police Mobile Force, State Intelligence Department (SID), Explosives Ordinance Devices (EOD), Police Mobile Force and other operational teams, have been strategically deployed to Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, highways, markets, motor parks, and other public places to prevent criminal activities and guarantee the safety of residents.


The Command equally warns criminal elements to stay away from Edo State, as operatives are fully prepared to decisively deal with anyone found disturbing the peace or threatening public safety.


While congratulating the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, the Commissioner of Police urges residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and security conscious throughout the celebration. Members of the public are also encouraged to promptly report suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or other security agencies.
