 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Ekiti police apprehends officer caught under the influence of drugs in viral video


The Ekiti State Police command has reacted to a trending video of one of its officers in camouflage uniform seen behaving erratically, suspected to be under the influence of an illicit drug.


The trending video shows some residents of the state attempting to stabilize the officer who was a bit vi!olent in his disposition.


In a statement released, SP Abutu Sunday, spokesperson of the command, said upon noticing the video, the Command swung into action, identified the officer, arrested him and took him into custody.


‘’The Police Sergeant, who is currently serving at Ikole-Ekiti Division Police Headquarters, is in custody, though now in a stable condition, and will be made to undergo disciplinary procedure.’’ Abutu said 


The police imagemaker added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, has ordered that the Police officer be subjected to psychological and medical evaluation, preparatory to the commencement of disciplinary actions against him.


The Commissioner of Police unequivocally stated that the behaviour portrayed by the Policeman in the video does not depict the standard discipline of the Nigeria Police Force.
