 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

 FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO DISTRIBUTE CNG BUSES TO NORTHERN UNIVERSITIES 


In commemoration of the June 12 celebration, as well as to ease transportation challenges across tertiary institutions, the Federal government says plans are underway for the distribution of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses to some Northern Universities.


Special adviser to the President on policy coordination, Hadiza Bala usman, stated this at a one-day summit organized by the Northern Project Coordination office for thirty eight student government leaders across the nineteen Northern Universities in Nigeria.


For the student body, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration’s vision for  Education, Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Health sectors has brought succour, particularly through the Student Loan Fund, which has benefited more than one million students, with the number still rising.


The initiative is in fulfilment of the present  administration’s promise to Nigerian youths and students towards promoting social and economic growth.
