Al-Mustapha Dismisses Ex-DSS Operative’s Claims on Abacha’s Death Former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd.), has dismissed claims made by former Department of State Services operative, Dennis Amachree, regarding the circumstances surrounding the late military ruler’s death. Al-Mustapha described the account as false and urged Nigerians to disregard it. He spoke with journalists on the sidelines of the 3rd General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference held at Arewa House in Kaduna on Saturday. His reaction followed renewed public attention on Amachree’s memoir, The Shadow Warrior, in which the retired DSS officer reportedly detailed his account of the events leading to Abacha’s death on June 8, 1998.  FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO DISTRIBUTE CNG BUSES TO NORTHERN UNIVERSITIES 


In commemoration of the June 12 celebration, as well as to ease transportation challenges across tertiary institutions, the Federal government says plans are underway for the distribution of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses to some Northern Universities.


Special adviser to the President on policy coordination, Hadiza Bala usman, stated this at a one-day summit organized by the Northern Project Coordination office for thirty eight student government leaders across the nineteen Northern Universities in Nigeria.


For the student body, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration’s vision for  Education, Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Health sectors has brought succour, particularly through the Student Loan Fund, which has benefited more than one million students, with the number still rising.


The initiative is in fulfilment of the present  administration’s promise to Nigerian youths and students towards promoting social and economic growth.
