 Atiku pledges scholarship to viral Niger teen miner Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday said his “heart breaks” each time he watches a viral video of a teenage artisanal miner, Yusuf Aliyu, speaking at a mining site in Niger State after the deaths of 37 miners in the state. Atiku, in a statement posted on his X handle, said he was prepared to support the boy’s education, describing him as a child whose intelligence and confidence should be nurtured in a classroom rather than by working at a mining site. “I have watched Yusuf Aliyu’s video repeatedly, and each time, my heart breaks. A child with such intelligence, clarity and confidence should be in a classroom building his future—not struggling for survival in a community surrounded by gold but buried in poverty. “I cannot look at him and see an ‘illegal miner.’ I see a Nigerian child failed by the country that should have protected him. I see brilliance trapped by poverty and enormous promise abandoned by leadership,” ...

 Fergie reacts to ex-husband Josh Duhamel welcoming his second baby with wife Audra Mari


Fergie has shown her support for ex‑husband Josh Duhamel as he welcomed his third child with wife Audra Mari. The Transformers actor and Mari announced the birth of their daughter, Rocca de Leon Duhamel, on May 17, sharing first photos on Instagram. 


Among the many congratulatory messages, Fergie added her own with pink bow and heart emojis, celebrating the newest addition to their blended family. She and Duhamel share a 12‑year‑old son, Axl.


The former couple, who married in 2009 and separated in 2017, have maintained a positive relationship since their split. 


Fergie previously commented on Mari’s pregnancy announcement in March, writing, “Welcome the cuteness!” Duhamel and Mari also share a two‑year‑old son, Shepherd. 


In interviews, Duhamel has spoken about how he and Fergie amicably co‑parent Axl, emphasizing their strong friendship and Fergie’s supportive relationship with Mari.


Reflecting on their separation, Duhamel explained that he and Fergie simply grew apart, noting their different worldviews and interests. 


Still, he praised her as a kind, non‑confrontational mother who has stepped away from the spotlight while remaining deeply devoted to their son. 


Their ability to maintain respect and warmth after divorce has allowed them to build a healthy dynamic, with Fergie continuing to show public encouragement for Duhamel’s growing family.
