The aspirants, Jonah Bonnet (Pompo), Solomon Ninyo, Godwin Luka (Maisolar), and Blessed Sambo Auta, announced their withdrawal in a joint statement.
According to the statement, the decision followed “extensive consultations” and was made in recognition of party supremacy as well as respect for the leadership of Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.
The aspirants also acknowledged the influence and counsel of key political figures in Kaura Local Government Area, including Comr. Jerry Adams and Obadiah Simon Nkom.
They stated that their withdrawal was aimed at preserving unity, peace, and harmony within the APC and avoiding unnecessary political tension among party members and residents of Kaura Local Government Area.
“As loyal and committed party members, we remain resolute in our dedication to the unity, peace, and progress of our great party,” the statement read.
The aspirants further expressed appreciation to their supporters for their loyalty and solidarity throughout the political process and urged them to continue supporting the APC and its ideals.
