Serena Williams falls to 20-year-old Maya Joint in Wimbledon return after nearly four-year singles absence Serena Williams showed flashes of the power and precision that defined her Hall of Fame career in her return to professional singles tennis Tuesday, but ultimately fell short in a three-set opening-round loss at Wimbledon.  Fresh start and football joy,” Ed Sheeran celebrates Ipswich promotion after health setback

Ed Sheeran was right there to witness a big moment for his club as Ipswich Town FC secured promotion back to the Premier League.

The singer watched from the stands at Portman Road on Saturday as Ipswich delivered a strong 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers. Dressed in a black coat and dark shades, he followed the action closely from a private box, surrounded by friends.

When the final whistle went, the atmosphere shifted instantly. Fans poured onto the pitch in celebration after the club sealed promotion on the last day of the Championship season, a moment years in the making.

Away from football, Sheeran has also been going through a personal reset. He recently revealed a new shaved hairstyle, explaining it as a symbol of change in his life.

“I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start,” he shared online, adding that a lot has been shifting for him lately and he is enjoying the new look.

He also opened up about a recent health struggle, saying he had been dealing with shingles for about a month. “Wouldn’t recommend it, but I’m on the mend now,” he wrote.

Despite that, the singer is already looking ahead. He confirmed more tour dates across Latin America, naming countries like Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile, and expressed excitement about returning to perform for fans there.

In the same update, Sheeran mentioned reconnecting with longtime friend Martin Garrix, and shared a few lighter notes from his downtime, including finally watching the fourth season of Stranger Things and reading the novel Demon Copperhead.
