A car filled with fireworks exploded during an illegal religious parade in central Mexico, killing a teenage boy and injuring at least a dozen more, terrifying video captured. Locals were participating in a procession Thursday in the city of Cuautitlán Izcalli — 21 miles from Mexico City — as part of an annual patron saint festival honoring San Francisco de Asis. Adults and children are seen celebrating as confetti hovers in the air when the pyrotechnics loaded into the vehicle catch fire, the video shows. Bystanders then turn toward the vehicle when the blast suddenly goes off. The person filming is knocked off their feet, while a person is seen sobbing nearby, according to the horrifying video. FRSC DEPLOYS 30, 000 PERSONNEL FOR EID EL-KABIR

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, says it has deployed 30, 000 personnel nationwide ahead of the 2026 Eid El-Kabir special patrol. 

In a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, the special operations which started from 25th will end on 31st May, 2026.

The special patrol will place particular focus on excessive speed, dangerous driving, wrongful overtaking, overloading, lane indiscipline, use of phones while driving, operation of mechanically deficient vehicles, driving with expired or worn-out tyres, passenger manifest violations, and other critical offences responsible for fatal road crashes across the country.
