Kaduna Reps Aspirant Speaks On Humiliation, Vows To Reform Sabon Gari

A Kaduna State House of Representatives aspirant, Mahmud Sadis Buba (Abin Al’ajabin Zazzau) has spoken about the ridicule and humiliation he says he has faced because of politics and his physical appearance.

In an interview with RFI Hausa, the 30-year-old politician, who is contesting for the Sabon Gari/Fada Federal Constituency seat, said he has endured years of insults, mockery, and attacks directed at both him and his family.

Mahmud said his dignity had often been undermined because of how Allah created him, adding that people constantly insult and disrespect him whenever he tries to participate in politics.

Despite the criticism, he said he remains committed to his ambition of representing the constituency, stressing that his goal is to reform Sabon Gari and help young people escape gang activities and other social challenges.

According to him, many youths in the area need opportunities and empowerment rather than temporary handouts. He explained that people should be taught how to earn a living independently instead of relying on constant assistance.

The aspirant also criticised what he described as years of poor representation in the constituency, noting that Sabon Gari is an important commercial and industrial hub that deserves better development.

He pointed to the presence of industries, textile companies, aviation activities, and institutions such as Ahmadu Bello University as reasons the area should have experienced greater progress.

He further revealed that he attempted to contest for the same seat during the 2023 general elections but later stepped aside following appeals from political stakeholders.
