 Ice Prince Reveals He Spent ₦340 Million on Weed Before Quitting Smoking and Alcohol Ice Prince has spoken about his former smoking lifestyle, revealing the massive amount he spent on cannabis before eventually quitting. During a recent podcast interview, the rapper disclosed that between 2020 and 2026, he spent about ₦340 million on weed from just one supplier. According to him, the amount does not include purchases he made from other dealers based in Abuja, Jos, Ghana, and London. Ice Prince explained that he later decided to stop smoking and drinking alcohol as part of a personal transformation focused on self-improvement, discipline, and better wellbeing. “From 2020 to 2026, I have spent N340 million on weed from just one dealer alone, not to even mention my other dealers from Abuja, Ghana, Jos, and London.  KANO GOVERNMENT, CHINESE COMPANIES SIGN MAJOR CONTRACTS TO REHABILITATE TAMBURAWA AND CHALLAWA WATER FACILITIES 


The Kano State Ministry of Water Resources has formally signed contracts for the rehabilitation and restoration of critical water supply infrastructure at the Tamburawa and Challawa Water Treatment Plants, in line with the Kano State Government’s commitment to improving access to safe and reliable water supply across the state.


A statement signed by Dr. Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, Acting Commissioner Kano State Ministry of Water Resources indicates that during the State Executive Council Meeting held in April 2026, Governor Yusuf, approved the sum of ₦21.29 billion for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the key water facilities aimed at revitalizing the state’s water distribution network and addressing longstanding infrastructure challenges.


The approved projects include:


- The rehabilitation of the Tamburawa Water Treatment Plant and restoration of the Raw Water Pump Station at the cost of ₦9.9 billion, awarded to CGC Nigeria Limited. 


- The rehabilitation of the Challawa Raw Water Pump Station and Water Treatment Plant, alongside the restoration of the Goron Dutse Reservoirs, at the cost of ₦11.39 billion, awarded to CCECC Nigeria Limited.


The contract signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Kano State Ministry of Water Resources, where the Acting Commissioner for Water Resources, Dr. Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, signed the agreements alongside representatives of the contracting firms, CGC and CCECC.


Dr. Hashim expressed confidence in the technical competence and capacity of the companies to execute the projects in accordance with the required standards and specifications. He stressed the importance of timely delivery and urged the contractors to ensure the completion of all project activities within the agreed eight-month timeframe.


The Acting Commissioner stated that the rehabilitation of the two strategic water treatment plants represents a historic and major step in the administration’s broader efforts to revive critical public infrastructure, strengthen water production and distribution systems, and improve access to potable water for millions of residents across Kano State.


Representatives of CGC and CCECC formally received their award letters during the event and assured the Ministry of their readiness and commitment to delivering the projects within, and possibly ahead of, the stipulated timeline while maintaining high quality standards.
