 LAWMA Waste, Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement operatives on night duty have apprehended two environmental offenders along the Jibowu and Ojota corridors of Ikorodu Road for engaging in illegal waste collection and indiscriminate disposal of refuse at unauthorized locations. The suspects, were arrested during routine surveillance operations after being found carrying out activities that constitute environmental nuisance and undermine approved waste management processes, despite repeated warnings and sensitization efforts. The offenders are being transferred to the Oshodi Task Force Office for prosecution through the Mobile Court in accordance with the environmental protection laws of Lagos State. LAWMA reiterates that illegal waste collection and indiscriminate dumping remain punishable offences.  LAGOS RENDERS ACCOUNT OF STEWARDSHIP: Y2026 MINISTERIAL PRESS BRIEFING COMMENCES MONDAY 11TH MAY 2026


Lagos State Executive Council members are set to render accounts of stewardship of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat  administration in the last one year. 

The Ministry of Information and Strategy is organizing a month-long Ministerial Press Briefing commencing on Monday, 11th  of May , 2026.


The  annual event provides an important platform for Ministries, Departments and Agencies to present to the good people of Lagos State in “Facts and Figures” the achievements of the present administration across various developmental pillars of the THEMES+ Agenda. It is an  opportunity to engage with Lagosians on the bold efforts at improving the welfare of all.  


This  year’s edition is particularly significant as it precedes the general elections. The exercise will enable the public to assess the performance of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat administration, appreciate the milestones recorded and get an insight into the plans for a Greater Lagos. 


Besides, the media engagement will further help the citizens to understand the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusive governance.

The achievements of the administration remain a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and responsible governance. 


All sessions will be live streamed on all  state social media handles.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
