 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  LAGOS RENDERS ACCOUNT OF STEWARDSHIP: Y2026 MINISTERIAL PRESS BRIEFING COMMENCES MONDAY 11TH MAY 2026


Lagos State Executive Council members are set to render accounts of stewardship of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat  administration in the last one year. 

The Ministry of Information and Strategy is organizing a month-long Ministerial Press Briefing commencing on Monday, 11th  of May , 2026.


The  annual event provides an important platform for Ministries, Departments and Agencies to present to the good people of Lagos State in “Facts and Figures” the achievements of the present administration across various developmental pillars of the THEMES+ Agenda. It is an  opportunity to engage with Lagosians on the bold efforts at improving the welfare of all.  


This  year’s edition is particularly significant as it precedes the general elections. The exercise will enable the public to assess the performance of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat administration, appreciate the milestones recorded and get an insight into the plans for a Greater Lagos. 


Besides, the media engagement will further help the citizens to understand the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusive governance.

The achievements of the administration remain a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and responsible governance. 


All sessions will be live streamed on all  state social media handles.
