 PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MS. ADEDAYO BENJAMIN LANIYI AS DG/CEO OF THE MARYAM BABANGIDA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT President Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Ms. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director-General /Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) and  members of the Governing Council  for an initial term of four (4) years. In a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume the appointment which takes effect from April 18, 2026, is in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023.  LAGOS RENDERS ACCOUNT OF STEWARDSHIP: Y2026 MINISTERIAL PRESS BRIEFING COMMENCES MONDAY 11TH MAY 2026


Lagos State Executive Council members are set to render accounts of stewardship of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat  administration in the last one year. 

The Ministry of Information and Strategy is organizing a month-long Ministerial Press Briefing commencing on Monday, 11th  of May , 2026.


The  annual event provides an important platform for Ministries, Departments and Agencies to present to the good people of Lagos State in “Facts and Figures” the achievements of the present administration across various developmental pillars of the THEMES+ Agenda. It is an  opportunity to engage with Lagosians on the bold efforts at improving the welfare of all.  


This  year’s edition is particularly significant as it precedes the general elections. The exercise will enable the public to assess the performance of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat administration, appreciate the milestones recorded and get an insight into the plans for a Greater Lagos. 


Besides, the media engagement will further help the citizens to understand the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusive governance.

The achievements of the administration remain a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and responsible governance. 


All sessions will be live streamed on all  state social media handles.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
