 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE BAUCHI POLICE COMMAND DISMANTLES ARMED ROBBERY SYNDICATE, APPREHENDS SEVEN SUSPECTS INCLUDING TWIN BROTHERS The Bauchi State Police Command has recorded another operational success with the dismantling of an armed robbery syndicate specializing in mobile phone snatching. Acting on a distress call received at ‘C’ Division, Tafawa Balewa Estate, at about 1525 hours on 23rd May 2026, police operatives responded swiftly to a report of an ongoing robbery along Adamu Ajiya Street, by Ran Road, Bauchi. The prompt intervention led to the arrest of seven suspects linked to the criminal network. During the operation, one machete and one knife were recovered from the suspects. So far, two victims have been identified and their statements obtained to aid investigation. The arrested suspects are:   1. Uzairu Adamu alias ‘Goje’, 20 years old   2.  MARWA VISITS TWO INJURED NDLEA OFFICERS AT NATIONAL HOSPITAL ABUJA


The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has paid a get-well visit to two gallant officers of the Agency currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Abuja.


The two officers  sustained severe injuries following a violent mob attack on them during a raid on a notorious drug joint in the Dawaki area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Friday, 15th May 2026.


Marwa sympathized with the injured officers and extended the support of the entire NDLEA management. He emphasized that their sacrifices in the ongoing fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking remain invaluable to the nation.


The NDLEA boss also praised the Agency’s medical team and their counterparts at the National Hospital for their prompt response and proper care that have since stabilised the injured officers.
