Meghan Markle is marking another wedding anniversary with a personal look back at the day she married Prince Harry, sharing a collection of photos fans had never seen before.
The Duchess of Sussex posted the images on Instagram on Tuesday, writing simply, “Eight years ago today.”
One set of pictures captured the couple during their wedding reception, showing Meghan and Harry alone on the dance floor during what appeared to be their first dance together. In several photos, the pair held each other closely while laughing, swaying, and sharing kisses as the evening unfolded around them.
A second post offered quieter moments from behind the scenes of their royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The photos showed preparations before their official portraits, candid exchanges with guests, and even a glimpse of music icon Elton John performing during the celebration.
One image also captured Harry addressing family and friends during a speech, while the final photo in the collection showed the couple sharing another affectionate kiss.
Meghan, now 44, and Harry, 41, first met in 2016 before marrying two years later in a globally watched ceremony that quickly became one of the most talked about royal events of the decade.
Their lives changed significantly after the wedding. In 2020, the couple stepped away from royal duties and later settled in California, where they now live with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Over the years, both have spoken openly about their relationship and the life they have built away from royal expectations.
In an earlier interview, Meghan described Harry as someone with a strong sense of playfulness and curiosity, saying those qualities shaped not just their relationship but also the way they approach life together. She also shared that she feels deeply supported by him, calling his love constant and unwavering.
