Senate President Godswill Akpabio has appealed to the people of the South East to sustain peace and prevent their youth from engaging in armed struggle against the Federal Government. Akpabio made the plea on Saturday during the funeral of Sir Albert Ikechukwu Nnamani, former Administrative Secretary of the defunct Oil Mineral Producing Area Development Commission (OMPADEC), held in Ikem, Enugu State. In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Akpabio emphasised that development can only thrive in a peaceful atmosphere and urged Ndigbo to properly mentor the younger generation. “For Ndigbo, I want to plead with you to continue to maintain the peace and watch the youth of today. They don’t understand politics. They don’t understand development. You can only have development in an area of peace,” Akpabio said. Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. found himself in an unexpected controversy during a recent livestream. While reflecting on his time with the Denver Nuggets, the stream took a dramatic turn when Instagram personality Celina Powell became involved. 


Allegedly, after overhearing plans to exclude her from the broadcast, Powell retaliated by breaking into Porter Jr.’s home and leaking his address online. 


The NBA star expressed shock and disappointment, noting that he had once defended her and hoped she was changing her ways.


The incident escalated quickly, forcing Porter Jr. to secure his valuables and leave his residence. 


Doxxing, the act of publicly sharing someone’s private information, poses serious risks for public figures, including unwanted attention and threats to personal safety. Police were called to intervene, though no arrests were made. 


Porter Jr. admitted that while he has faced relationship challenges before, this level of intrusion was new to him, emphasizing the importance of boundaries in his personal life.


Powell’s history with NBA players has long been controversial, with past ties to athletes such as Terry Rozier, Dwight Howard, and Kelly Oubre Jr. 


Her reputation for pursuing high-profile relationships and retaliating when slighted has made her a polarizing figure. For Porter Jr., the ordeal serves as a cautionary reminder of the dangers of entangling with someone known for stirring drama. 


His focus now is on minimizing the fallout and distancing himself from the situation entirely.
