 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE BAUCHI POLICE COMMAND DISMANTLES ARMED ROBBERY SYNDICATE, APPREHENDS SEVEN SUSPECTS INCLUDING TWIN BROTHERS The Bauchi State Police Command has recorded another operational success with the dismantling of an armed robbery syndicate specializing in mobile phone snatching. Acting on a distress call received at ‘C’ Division, Tafawa Balewa Estate, at about 1525 hours on 23rd May 2026, police operatives responded swiftly to a report of an ongoing robbery along Adamu Ajiya Street, by Ran Road, Bauchi. The prompt intervention led to the arrest of seven suspects linked to the criminal network. During the operation, one machete and one knife were recovered from the suspects. So far, two victims have been identified and their statements obtained to aid investigation. The arrested suspects are:   1. Uzairu Adamu alias ‘Goje’, 20 years old   2.  ‎NAF STRIKES ELIMINATE SEVERAL TERRORISTS IN TWO LGAs, DISRUPT ATTACK PLANS IN NIGER STATE

The Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector -1 says its precision trikes have eliminated several terrorists at different locations across Rafi and Mariga Local Government Areas of Niger State.  

‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that following credible intelligence on the movement and convergence of terrorists around Tungan Bako and Kasuwan Daji in Rafi LGA, the Air Component in conjunction with the Nigerian Army Space Command Regiment executed precision air interdiction strikes which successfully eliminated  several terrorists and effectively disrupted their operational build-up within the area.

Similarly terrorists moving on motorcycles and on foot with rustled cattle from Tungunguna towards Uregi were positively identified and engaged, resulting in their elimination and the distortion of their movement and withdrawal capability.

Terrorist elements observed attempting tactical movement within Dogon Dawa and adjoining locations in Mariga local government area were swiftly  engaged with precision strikes, leading to the successful elimination of a significant number of the terrorists and the disruption of the planned attacks.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, commended the professionalism and precision of the personnel involved, while assuring Nigerians that the NAF will continue to sustain aggressive, intelligence-driven air operations aimed at eliminating  terrorist threats, protecting innocent lives and restoring lasting peace across all troubled regions.
