 Trump threatens Iran with major strikes and warns of potential control of oil infrastructure as regional conflict escalates  President Donald Trump said Thursday that the United States would strike Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT,” escalating already heightened tensions as both sides continue exchanging attacks across the region. In a social media post, Trump also threatened to “assume total control” of Iran’s oil and gas infrastructure, including the key Kharg Island export terminal, describing potential action “in the not too distant future.” The warning came as U.S. and Iranian forces traded fire for a second straight day, marking the third major escalation in less than a week following earlier clashes involving Iran, Israel, and U.S. forces stationed across multiple countries.  Ten people killed in horrific Mpumalanga crash   


Ten people have died following a devastating head-on collision between a minibus taxi and a bus on the R39 road between Standerton and Morgenzon in Mpumalanga.  


The crash occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning at around 05:15. Authorities say all 10 victims were occupants of the taxi, including the driver. Eight people died at the scene, while two later succumbed to their injuries in hospital.  


Reports indicate that misty weather conditions and poor visibility may have contributed to the collision.  


The bus driver sustained minor injuries, while one passenger travelling in the bus escaped unharmed.  


Authorities are continuing investigations into the cause of the crash.
