SALLAH CELEBRATIONS (EID-EL-DUHA 2026): BAUCHI POLICE FELICITATES MUSLIMS, ISSUES SECURITY GUIDELINES

The Bauchi State Police Command congratulates Muslim faithful in the state and across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Duha, popularly known as Sallah Celebrations, which will take place on Wednesday 27th May 2026.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc(+), extends warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah and appreciates their continuous cooperation with the Police and other security agencies in maintaining peace and order in the state.

In line with the Command’s mandate to ensure a hitch-free celebration, adequate personnel have been deployed to Eid grounds, major highways, recreational centers, and other public places across the 20 Local Government Areas. The deployment includes conventional police officers, tactical teams, and traffic personnel working in synergy with sister security agencies and local vigilante groups.

The CP however, warns against any act capable of breaching public peace and security during and after the festivities. Criminal elements are advised to steer clear of the state, as the Command will not hesitate to deal decisively with anyone found disrupting public order or engaging in thuggery, reckless driving, use of knockouts/fireworks, and other unlawful acts.

He further urges parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and wards, and to caution them against acts that could lead to arrest and prosecution.

The Command solicits the cooperation of all residents by reporting suspicious persons, movements, and objects to the nearest police station or through the following emergency lines: 08151849417,

07031961762,

08050404039.

CP Omolori assured the good people of Bauchi State of the Command’s commitment to providing a safe and secure environment before, during, and after the Sallah celebrations. He prays for ALLAH'S blessings, peace, and protection upon all.
