Why Soludo's War on Fake Pastors Matters By Stella Obi  For too long, fake pastors have hidden behind the cloak of religion to exploit the hopes, fears, and vulnerabilities of unsuspecting Nigerians. In Anambra State, however, Governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration has drawn a clear line, declaring that faith must never be used as a tool for deception, exploitation, or criminality. SHARON STONE REVEALS HOW HER FAMILY WENT FROM WEALTH TO POVERTY. (PHOTO).

Sharon Stone reveals how her family went from wealth to poverty

Sharon Stone recently reflected on her family’s history, revealing that while her lineage traces back to royalty and figures like Charlemagne, her upbringing was marked by hardship.

Appearing on Finding Your Roots in 2025, she learned of her ancestral ties to powerful leaders, but on The Drew Barrymore Show she explained that her father’s side of the family lost its wealth after a tragic accident.

Stone shared that her relatives had been early oil drillers in Pennsylvania, but when a well exploded and killed the men involved, the fortune bypassed the women in the family due to discriminatory laws at the time.

Instead, the money went to an 18-year-old male relative, leaving her grandmother and her children with nothing. Her grandmother was forced to rebuild from scratch, working as a nurse and raising her children in what Stone described as a barn stall.

Despite the loss, Stone’s father eventually managed to buy back the family home, though it had fallen into ruin.

For Stone, the story underscores the extremes in her family’s history royal roots and wealth on one side, but resilience and survival in the face of injustice on the other.
