Speaker Abbas Commissions 100-Bed Specialist Hospital In Zaria To Boost Healthcare Delivery

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has commissioned a 100-bed Renewed Hope Specialist Hospital in Dumbin Rauga, Dutsen Abba Ward, within Zaria Federal Constituency, describing it as a major boost to healthcare delivery in the area.

The facility, inaugurated in Zaria, is expected to improve access to specialised medical services for residents who previously had to travel long distances within Kaduna State and beyond to receive advanced treatment.

According to Abbas, the hospital will help reduce delays in medical care, ease pressure on existing health facilities, and bring essential healthcare services closer to communities across Zaria and surrounding areas in the North West region.

He noted that the project was delivered in response to long-standing community demands for improved healthcare infrastructure, adding that it reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen service delivery through collaboration at the federal level.

The Speaker commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as targeted, people-focused investments under the Renewed Hope Agenda, and also acknowledged the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on SDGs for the execution of the project.

He further appreciated Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for his support and partnership.

Abbas stressed that while the commissioning marks a milestone, the sustainability of the hospital will depend on effective management, adequate staffing, maintenance, and consistent service delivery.

He reaffirmed that the project aligns with broader national goals of improving healthcare access, expanding infrastructure, and strengthening the health system, while pledging continued efforts to deliver more developmental projects to communities across the country.
