 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF MINOR; HIS NEPHEW'S DAUGHTER IN BAUCHI


The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 29-year-old man for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old minor in Guru Village, Bauchi.


According to a report received at ‘B’ Division, GRA, Bauchi, on 15th May 2026 at about 1700 hours, the incident occurred on 14th May 2026 at approximately 0100 hours. The complainant, a 45-year-old father, reported that his nephew, Sadiq Abubakar Yusuf, allegedly lured his 14-year-old daughter outside their residence and sexually assaulted her.


Upon receipt of the report, police operatives promptly responded, arrested the suspect, and secured the victim for immediate medical attention at the Police Clinic.


The suspect has been investigated and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for discreet and thorough investigation and subsequent prosecution.


The Bauchi State Police Command reiterates its zero-tolerance stance on crimes against minors and women. The Command assures the public that the matter will be handled with the utmost professionalism, sensitivity, and in accordance with the law.


Members of the public were encouraged by CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+)  to continue reporting any form of abuse or criminal activity to the nearest police station.
