LeAnn Rimes has postponed additional tour dates after confirming a vocal health issue that requires rest and recovery.
The singer shared on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with severe laryngitis following a bout of COVID, forcing her to move upcoming performances.
She explained that a medical examination of her vocal cords confirmed the condition.
“After a diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis, I’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows,” she wrote, adding that she wanted fans to hear the update directly from her.
Concerts in Waukegan, Illinois, and Wilmington, Ohio, have now been shifted to November 6 and 7. Tickets already purchased will remain valid, with refund options available for those unable to attend the new dates.
Rimes did not hide her disappointment. “It breaks my heart having to reschedule,” she shared, noting that she would rather be on stage with her audience but needs time to get her voice back under control.
She reassured fans that she is looking forward to returning soon.
This update follows an earlier announcement where she had already paused shows in Spokane and Seattle due to illness.
At the time, she said she was unable to travel or perform, thanking supporters for their patience.
Just days before the health setback, Rimes had been celebrating a personal milestone. She marked her 15th wedding anniversary with husband Eddie Cibrian during a getaway, sharing moments of gratitude and humor in a message that hinted at challenges behind the scenes.
