 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  TROOPS OF OPERATION EASTERN SANITY II BUST CRIMINAL HIDEOUT, RECOVER EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS IN ENUGU


Troops of Operation EASTERN SANITY II have recorded another operational success against criminal elements in the South East following a raid operation conducted in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.


Acting on credible intelligence, troops deployed at Oji River, in conjunction with Keystone personnel from Oji River LGA, conducted a raid operation at about 0430 hours on 23 May 2026 on a house suspected to be harbouring cultists and other criminal elements at Achi Town in Oji River LGA.


During the operation, troops recovered 8 motorcycles and 2 buckets of locally made gun powder suspected to be used for criminal activities.


Additionally, troops apprehended 3 suspects namely Mr Ozor Benjamin (85 years) from Isikwe Achi, Mrs Miracle Eze (26 years) and Mrs Ogechukwu Okorie (29 years), both from Umuoka Achi in Oji River LGA, Enugu State.


The arrested suspects and recovered items have since been handed over to Keystone Oji River for further investigation and necessary action.


The successful operation highlights the commitment of Operation EASTERN SANITY II troops and other security agencies to sustaining offensive operations against criminal elements threatening peace and security in the South East region. Troops remain resolute in denying criminal elements freedom of action while encouraging members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies.
