 Stop Starting. Start Finishing: Why Continuity Is Strategically Important For Nigeria In 2027 By Mary Laniyan “Stop starting. Start finishing,” is a popular agile transformation principle used to shift organisations away from measuring activity and toward delivering value and measurable outcomes. Governments are not corporations, but the underlying economic principle is comparable. In government, the stakes are infinitely higher, they have a human cost. The cost is measured in the lives of ordinary people, the pain of making ends meet, the anxiety of raising a family, the frustration of being unable to find meaningful work, the loss of dignity that comes from being unable to be productive and self-reliant, and, above all, the uncertainty surrounding the future of an entire generation of young Nigerians.  Umahi signs Tinubu’s nomination form, backs continuity ahead of 2027


The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has signed the nomination form of President Bola Tinubu for a second term, describing the move as a “victory form” and a step towards sustaining ongoing national development.


In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, on Tuesday, Umahi said the endorsement represents a broader commitment to continuity and consolidation of the administration’s achievements.


He described the nomination form as “a defining moment in Nigeria’s ongoing development journey,” adding that it reflects “a collective commitment to continuity, stability, and the consolidation of gains recorded under the current administration.”
