NCAA CONFIRMS AIRCRAFT INCIDENT IN ASABA; FROWNS AT ITS RE-TAKE OFF WITHOUT PERMITS The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) confirms a private aircraft incident near Asaba, Delta State, on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. According to NCAA Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Michael Achimugu, the aircraft missed its approach at about 07:43 local time and landed on a roadway in Ogwashi-Uku, near Asaba.  World's tallest man says he's 'very sad' after revealing reason wife divorced him

Sultan Kösen, recognized as the world’s tallest man at 8 feet 3 inches, has spoken candidly about the end of his marriage to Merve Dibo, who stands at 5 feet 6 inches.

The couple wed in 2013 in a lavish ceremony attended by 1,500 guests, with Kösen describing their union as the fulfillment of his dream to find love and start a family.

Despite his deep affection for Dibo, their relationship ended in 2021, with Kösen revealing that she ultimately chose her family over their marriage.

Reflecting on the breakup, he admitted the separation left him heartbroken, saying he still feels emotional when looking back at their wedding photos.

Kösen’s life has been shaped by gigantism and acromegaly, conditions caused by a pituitary tumor that have left him reliant on crutches and wheelchairs since his mid-twenties.

His extraordinary stature has brought both fame and challenges, including constant knee pain, limited mobility, and multiple surgeries on his legs and brain.

Despite these hardships, he has maintained his Guinness World Record for 17 years and continues to express hope that finding a new partner could one day bring him happiness, though he acknowledges the difficulties of his situation.

The Turkish farmer’s son has often leaned on family support, with his brother noting that companionship could improve his quality of life.

Kösen himself has joked about his appearance, saying he believes his looks make finding love harder.

Still, he remains open to the possibility of meeting someone new, even as he copes with the physical and emotional toll of his condition.

His story, recently featured in a Channel 4 documentary, highlights both the struggles and resilience of a man whose extraordinary height has defined his life but not diminished his longing for connection.
