 Bandit Leader Kachalla Maha Boasts of Influence, Claims Access to Security Information A suspected bandit kingpin identified as Kachalla Maha has made bold claims about his alleged influence and reach within Nigeria’s security structure. In a statement circulating online, the individual boasted about his capabilities and suggested he has access to sensitive information. “I can kidnap any government if I want, even governors. The forces they send to attack me are my boys, they inform me before coming. I receive info on national security strategy meetings involving the president. They only operate if I allow them,” he said.

A CALIFORNIA FATHER MADE A SPLIT-SECOND DECISION THAT COST HIM A LEG BUT POTENTIALLY SAVED HIS DAUGHTER'S LIFE.(PHOTO).

 A California father made a split-second decision that cost him a leg but potentially saved his daughter's life. 


It's been a couple of weeks since a fateful family trip to the grocery store completely altered the trajectory of Jordan Stannard's life. Jordan has used that time to think about the events of that evening and is still resolute that his reasoning was sound and he wouldn't change a thing.


On that evening in mid-June, the family had taken a trip to the neighborhood grocery store. After making their purchases, it was getting dark as they made their way back to their vehicle, which was parked along the roadway. 


As Jordan was loading the family's most precious cargo, their daughter, he noticed headlights heading straight towards them. 


It quickly became apparent that the out of control truck was not going to alter its course.  Jordan had only seconds to react. 


Jordan pulled the ultimate hero dad move. He threw his daughter to the safety of the far side of the vehicle's back seat. Then Jordan took the hit.


The vehicle made a full impact, with Jordan's body twisting and throwing him through the air.


When he landed on the ground, Jordan described the condition of his leg as looking like he had stepped on a bomb. He says his foot was pretty much non-existent at that point.


Jordan was rushed to the hospital where doctors made the tough but necessary decision to amputate his left leg below the knee.


Now, the once constantly active and on the go father, spends most of his time in bed and rehabbing. 


However, this wonderful father doesn't second guess his actions that evening. Jordan had previously enjoyed competing in marathons and has set a goal to run in next year's Los Angeles Marathon. 


Jordan said the experience has taught him the importance of friends and family, and he is eternally grateful for all of the support he has received. He also wants to commend the amazing efforts of the first responders who treated him at the scene. 


I've always heard that having a child costs you an arm and a leg. Jordan has proven that old adage half right. Seriously, what an incredible story of a father's instincts to protect his child at all costs.
