Pixar announces new Finding Nemo short film, Loving Dory  Pixar is returning to the “Finding Nemo” universe with a new short film titled “Loving Dory,” continuing the franchise after its two films grossed roughly $2 billion worldwide. The short was announced at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where Pixar also revealed plot details and screened early footage. Produced by Mary Alice Drumm and directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj, the story follows Dory as she takes Nemo to school. On her way back, she becomes trapped in a sea anemone and is rescued by what she believes is a jellyfish, which is actually a plastic bag containing a discarded sunscreen tube. A DOLLAR GENERAL MANAGER WAS FATALLY SHOT BY A CUSTOMER AS SHE RANG UP A PACK OF HAMBURGER BUNS. THERE IS NO MOTIVE, JUST A LIFE RANDOMLY ENDED.(PHOTO).

A Dollar General manager was fatally shot by a customer as she rang up a pack of hamburger buns. There is no motive,  just a life randomly ended.

Alexis Hill was running the register on the morning of June 23rd. The 44-year-old store manager was a mother of two and had  three grandchildren. Like all of us, I'm sure Alexis was just trying to get through her day and make a living when tragedy found her.

The chronically overworked and underpaid manager was very well-liked by her employees and customers for her positive attitude and sweet nature.

After Alexis rang up the $1.58 pack of hamburger buns that 33-year-old Jerome Willis was purchasing, she took a moment to straighten the crumpled one dollar bills he had handed her. This would be the last thing Alexis ever did.

For reasons unknown, while Alexis was in the process of straightening the bills, Jerome pulled out a pistol and shot Alexis point blank. Alexis suffered from the fatal wound shortly after 10 a.m. and was pronounced deceased at 10:45.

Jerome and Alexis did not know each other.

There is no explanation why he chose to steal a life, a woman's future, and a family's joy on that ordinary Tuesday morning.  However, this would not be the last death in Columbus, Georgia, on that morning.

Directly after shooting Alexis, Jerome fled the store. Officers with the Columbus Police Department wasted no time tracking down this cold-blooded k***er, but Jerome was not through inflicting pain on others just yet.

They located Jerome in a nearby parking lot and began attempting to take him into custody. Jerome refused to comply with orders from the police and a K-9 unit was dispatched. As the K-9 closed in Jerome, he made his last stand and began firing at officers. One Columbus PD officer and the K-9 officer were shot in the melee.  Police returned fire and hit Jerome with multiple rounds, ending his life. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Both the officer and the K-9 officer did not suffer life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

Jerome's passing also concludes without any answers for family, friends, and the community as a whole, for his heartless actions on that day.

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Alexis Hill as they attempt to process her senseless death.
