OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS TERRORIST INFILTRATION, DISRUPTS LOGISTICS NETWORKS, ARRESTS COLLABORATORS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE
This situation began at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th, when deputies with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office were called to a Brooksville, Texaco Gas station.
Once on scene, they were informed by employees that Iesha Field had been harassing customers and causing a scene outside of the business. Employees requested that Iesha be trespassed.
Deputies issued a formal trespass warning and ordered Iesha from the premises.
Iesha then walked across the street to a mobile home park where she continued her erratic antics.
Iesha stripped to only her underwear and began yelling and acting belligerent. Her actions were disturbing residents, including a mother and her young children.
The mother requested that Iesha be trespassed from her property also, and this is when things really got out of hand.
Despite repeated attempts to de-escalate the situation, Iesha became more combative.
The decision was ultimately made to place Iesha under arrest. She fought deputies as they attempted to place her in the patrol vehicle.
After finally securing her inside the vehicle, Iesha began banging her head and kicking the vehicle's windows. When deputies opened the door to attempt to make her stop, Iesha fell out of the vehicle.
At this point, Deputy M. LaPalme began to help Iesha up from the ground and back into the vehicle. During this encounter, Iesha spit directly into deputy LaPalme's face. He then began to buckle her into the safety belt, and she spit in his face a second time.
After being spit on a second time deputy LaPalme open hand slapped Iesha in the face. According to the arrest report, Deputy LaPalme slapped her to prevent her from spitting on him again.
Iesha Field was ultimately booked into the Hernando County Detention Center on charges of Battery to a Law enforcement officer and Breach of peace/disorderly conduct.
Deputy LaPalme's actions during the arrest are under official review.
