 Barack Obama 'confident' America will have a female president 'sometime soon': 'It’ll become normalized' Barack Obama recently expressed optimism about America’s political future, saying he believes the country will elect a female president “sometime soon.”  In an interview with People, the former president explained that just as his own election in 2008 helped normalize the idea of a Black president, he expects that a woman in the Oval Office will eventually be seen as unremarkable.  He noted that once the milestone is reached, public focus will shift to everyday issues like gas prices and policy outcomes rather than the novelty of gender. Obama’s comments highlight the progress women have made in politics, from governorships to Senate seats, while acknowledging that the presidency remains elusive. A TENNESSEE TEEN SAVED HER MOTHER FROM AN ASSAULT BY SLASHING HER ATTACKER'S FACE WITH A SAMURAI SWORD.(PHOTO).

 In a remarkable act of bravery, a Tennessee teen saved her mother from an assault by slashing her attacker's face with a samurai sword.


A developing story out of Lobeville, Tennessee, paints a young girl as a hero when she saw her mother being attacked.


The incident took place in the area of River Drive. Eyewitnesses stated that the suspect was trying to attack the girl's mother. When this brave young girl saw her mother in distress she grabbed the weapon and went full on "Kill Bill" mode on her mother's attacker.


The girl's mother described the situation in a comment on social media saying, "This was my daughter and she saved my life today after the man I kicked out 2 weeks ago returned and attacked me because he was on meth. I did everything in my power to keep him off of the property and was in the process of getting evidence together for a protection order. He refused to acknowledge that the relationship was over and really manipulates people to think I was the bad guy. He will never be in contact with my family or I again. This little girl is her momma's hero."


Perry County Sheriff Nick Weems described it as a heartbreaking and unfortunate situation where a young girl was forced to violence to protect her mother.


Weems went on to add that the principal and teachers at the school, the young hero attends, have reached out to sing her praises. He characterizes it as a powerful testament to the young girls strength and composure.


I'm sure the entire experience was traumatizing for such a young girl and I hope she knows how strong she really is.
