ABIA STATE POLICE COMMAND APPREHENDS SUSPECTS FOR UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARM: RECOVERS EXHIBITS


*SUSPECTS*

1.David Emmanuel Male, 33 years

2. Joel Emeka Male, 25 years


*EXHIBITS RECOVERED*

1. One (1) locally made pistol

2. One (1) live ammunition

3. Live cartridges

4. One (1) small black bag

5. One (1) auto rickshaw


*FACTS OF THE CASE*

1. On 12/06/2026, operatives of the Nediegoro Divisional Police Headquarters, while on stop-and-search duty along Azikiwe by Kent Road, Aba, intercepted an auto rickshaw.


2. During the operation, one of the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene, while the other two suspects were immediately apprehended. A search conducted on them led to the recovery of the above-listed exhibits. The suspects are in police custody and investigation is currently ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) and will be charged to court on completion of Investigation.
