 PRESS BRIEFING BY THE POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, ON BEHALF OF THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE EDO STATE COMMAND Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press.  It is with great pleasure that the Command wishes to inform the general public of its latest achievement over the immediate past week arising from ongoing intelligence- led operations: Within the past week, the command have arrested a total of 10 suspects for violent crimes, neutralized 1 suspected kidnapper, recovered 1 AK 47 Rifle, 10 7.62 mm live ammunitions, 1 barrette pistol with 14 live ammunition. 1. ARREST OF SUSPECT IN ABDUCTION AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF FIVE FEMALE CHILDREN. On 12th September 2026, the Command received information on the alleged abduction of five female children from the ibillo/ Imoga axis of Akoko - Edo LGA.  CHEIF OF STAFF TO THE PRESIDENT, GBAJABIAMILA DISCLAIMS PURPOTED APPOINTMENT OF PRINCE ADENIYI ADEYEMI AS THE PRESIDENTIAL FOREIGN INTERVENTION PROMOTION COUNCIL 

 

The Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, Femi Femi Gbajabiamila has disclaimed a purported appointment of one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, under the auspices of an alleged organisation styled as the "Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council" and portraying himself to the general public as having been appointed by the office. 

             

A statement by the Chief of Staff to the President warns the public to note that such an office does not exist under the administration of President Tinubu, and no appointment has been made in that regard. 

 

Gbajabiamila states that Foreign and Diplomatic Missions, Financial and Multilateral Institutions, Development Organisations, Security Agencies are therefore advised to note that no such appointment exists.
