 Northwest University Debunks Claim Emir of Kano Sanusi Attended Lecture To Clear Carry-Over Northwest University, Kano, has dismissed a viral claim that the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, attended a lecture at the institution to clear an alleged academic carry-over. The university described the claim as false, baseless and misleading in a disclaimer dated August 10, 2026, issued by its Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim, and published on its Facebook page. The institution said it had observed the circulation of a video showing Sanusi after attending a public lecture organised by the International Humanitarian Law Society at the university. According to the university, some social media users subsequently attached captions to the video claiming that the Emir had a carry-over and visited the institution to resolve the alleged academic deficiency.  CHEIF OF STAFF TO THE PRESIDENT, GBAJABIAMILA DISCLAIMS PURPOTED APPOINTMENT OF PRINCE ADENIYI ADEYEMI AS THE PRESIDENTIAL FOREIGN INTERVENTION PROMOTION COUNCIL 

 

The Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, Femi Femi Gbajabiamila has disclaimed a purported appointment of one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, under the auspices of an alleged organisation styled as the "Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council" and portraying himself to the general public as having been appointed by the office. 

             

A statement by the Chief of Staff to the President warns the public to note that such an office does not exist under the administration of President Tinubu, and no appointment has been made in that regard. 

 

Gbajabiamila states that Foreign and Diplomatic Missions, Financial and Multilateral Institutions, Development Organisations, Security Agencies are therefore advised to note that no such appointment exists.
