 APC NWC RECEIVES NOMINATION FORMS FOR PRESIDENT TINUBU / VP SHETTIMA The National Working Committee of the Governing All Progressives Congress APC has formally received the nomination forms for its president and vice presidential candidates for onward transmission to the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) The Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters Ibrahim Masari submitted the forms carrying the name of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate ahead of 2027 general election  National Chairman of the party Professor Nentawe Yilwatda and Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum Hope Uzodimma hailed the decision of President Bola Tinubu and assured of massive mobilization of votes ahead of the general elections

 Daveigh Chase’s mother speaks after actress’s passing at 35


Daveigh Chase’s mother, Cathy Chase, has spoken publicly following the actress’s passing at the age of 35.


In an interview published on Friday, Cathy said she was initially unable to believe reports of her daughter's passing when she first heard the news. 


She later confirmed the information after seeing multiple news outlets carrying the story.


Cathy said she had not seen her daughter since 2019 and had spent years trying to find information about her whereabouts. According to her, she regularly searched online resources and public records while hoping to reconnect with her daughter.


She also revealed that she visited a Los Angeles hospital to identify her daughter's body and spent time there with a chaplain.


Speaking about Daveigh's later years, Cathy said her daughter faced personal struggles following a motorcycle accident in 2016. She claimed the challenges that followed affected their relationship and made it difficult to stay in contact.


Despite the separation, Cathy said she continued searching for her daughter and never stopped hoping they would reunite.


Daveigh Chase was known for roles in projects including Lilo & Stitch, Spirited Away, The Ring and Donnie Darko.


Separately, questions have been raised regarding an online fundraiser created by a man who identified himself as Daveigh's boyfriend. 


The fundraiser's legitimacy has been questioned by the actress's former manager, who said neither he nor members of her family were familiar with the individual.
