 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  Deputy Governor Hosts Southern Kaduna APC Stakeholders, Urges Unity In Southern Kaduna


The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadeeza Balarabe, on Tuesday hosted members of the Southern Kaduna APC Visionaires at a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening party cohesion and consolidating the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s position in the region.


The meeting, held at the Deputy Governor’s Council Chambers, Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, brought together senior government officials, including the Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, political appointees from Southern Kaduna, party leaders, and other key stakeholders.


The gathering provided an opportunity for APC stalwarts to review developments within the party, discuss issues of concern, and explore practical measures for fostering greater unity and strengthening the party’s structures across Southern Kaduna.


Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Balarabe urged leaders in the region to bridge existing divides and work collectively for the progress of Southern Kaduna. She emphasized the need for leaders to embrace a generational vision that prioritizes long-term development and sustainable growth.


The Deputy Governor also called on political actors to place the interests of the party and the region above personal ambitions, stressing that unity, peace, and collective responsibility remain critical to the prosperity and development of Southern Kaduna.
