 Tragedy in Lagos: Two Dead After Machete-Wielding Attacker Storms Lekki IMAX Cinema A horrific incident unfolded at the Filmhouse IMAX Cinema in the upscale Lekki area of Lagos State on Friday night, August 29, leaving two people dead following a violent confrontation with an armed intruder. Violent Confrontation at Cinema Entrance According to eyewitness accounts, a man armed with a machete and a knife attempted to force his way into the cinema premises. Onlookers reported that the assailant appeared to be highly intoxicated or under the influence of substances. When vigilant security personnel stationed at the entrance intercepted him to prevent entry, a violent scuffle ensued. Fatal Stabbing and Subsequent Mob Action The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Adebisi Abimbola, confirmed the tragic details of the encounter.  First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Donates N100 Million To 2,000 Women Petty Traders In Jigawa State


The Nigeria's First Lady Oluremi Tinubu says her commitment to the promotion of small and medium scale businesses remain strong, describing the sub sector as a foundation for sustainable development in the country.


She stated this while announcing a donation of another 100 million Naira business recapitalization grant of 50,000 Naira each to 2000 women petty traders at the palace of the Emir of Hadeija, HRH Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje, where she kickstarted her one day official visit to Jigawa State. 


While in the state, the First Lady is expected to flag off the National Community Food Bank program for the North-West zone, as well as inaugurates some key projects,  including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy and the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Clinic, being undertaken by the state government.
