 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  FRSC AND NITT FORGE ALLIANCE TO REDEFINE TRANSPORT TRAINING


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, have signed a  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Advanced Training, Capacity Development, Research and Unnovation. 


In a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, The agreement, executed by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, and the Director General of NITT, Dr. Bayero Farah, is said to mark the beginning of a transformative partnership designed to raise professional standards, strengthen institutional capacity and position Nigeria's transport sector on the global stage.


The partnership is believed to strengthen research capabilities, modernise driver training centres, enhance ICT-driven learning, and produce globally competitive transport professionals equipped to address emerging mobility and road safety challenges.
