 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  INEC Restores NDC Nomination Portal Access Amid Ongoing Legal Dispute


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly restored access to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) nomination portal, enabling the party to upload details of its candidates despite an ongoing legal battle over its status.


This was confirmed by NDC National Leader, Henry Dickson, who disclosed that the development allows the party to proceed with key nomination processes.


“INEC has restored NDC nomination portal access allowing the party to upload the names of its National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson and presidential candidate, Peter Obi, despite the ongoing legal battle over the party’s status,” he said.
