Kaduna North Lawmaker, Bello El-Rufai Announces New Classroom Construction Projects In Three Schools

The Member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, has announced a new phase of his education intervention programme aimed at improving learning infrastructure across the constituency.

According to the lawmaker, the initiative follows the successful construction of an additional block of classrooms at LEA Rafin Guza in Kawo Ward, which also included landscaping and beautification works.

He noted that the latest intervention is part of ongoing efforts to expand access to quality education and enhance learning conditions for students.

Following assessments of educational needs within the constituency, three schools have been selected for the construction of additional blocks of three classrooms each.

The beneficiaries are Government Secondary School Asma'u Maikarfi in Unguwan Shanu (Unguwar Shanu/Abakwa Ward), Government Secondary School Unguwan Rimi in Gabasawa Ward, and LEA Kabala Primary School in Kabala Ward.

To ensure effective project implementation and monitoring, a committee has been constituted to supervise the projects and maintain liaison with the contractor.

The committee will be led by Supervisor Hussaini Zubairu Abdulkadir, Chairman Al Amin Yakubu, and Vice Chairman Yusuf Gambo Imam, alongside other members drawn from the affected communities and ward leadership structures.

Speaking on the significance of the initiative, El-Rufai described education as one of the most important investments in human development, emphasizing that improved classroom infrastructure and educational facilities would contribute to better learning outcomes and future opportunities for children.

He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing service delivery and community development, stating that efforts to improve the welfare of residents of Kaduna North would continue despite ongoing political and electoral activities.

The lawmaker also expressed appreciation to the management, staff, and host communities of the beneficiary schools for their cooperation and support toward the successful execution of the projects.

The classroom construction projects are expected to commence as part of the constituency's broader education development agenda.
