 Flights suspended to Ethiopian holy town of Lalibela as fighting expands Flights to the historic Ethiopian town of Lalibela ​were suspended on Thursday due to fighting nearby, seven sources said, as residents in the Tigray region to the north stocked up on food and ‌cash, fearing that renewed fighting could trigger another major war. Tigrayan forces seized three local airports and launched attacks in Afar and Amhara regions with allies there this week, in the most serious escalation since a devastating 2020-22 war against Ethiopian government troops. In its first public comments on the fighting, Ethiopia's army said on Thursday that it had foiled the attacks and killed, wounded or captured more than 500 enemy fighters. The United Nations ​and the European Union called for restraint and a return to the African Union-brokered peace process that had ended a conflict that killed hundreds of thousands of people.  Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker make rare red carpet return at Tribeca Film Festival date night


Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker made a rare joint appearance on Saturday night, stepping out together at the Tribeca Film Festival for a date night in New York City.


The couple returned to the red carpet for the first time in over two years as they attended the premiere of Barker’s documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.


They arrived in coordinated black outfits, presenting a sleek, unified look for the evening.


Kardashian, 47, wore a long-sleeved satin gown featuring a white collar and button detailing down the front. 


The outfit included a high slit that revealed her legs, and she layered a black bralette underneath.


She completed the look with black pointed heels and a satin clutch, wearing her hair down with straight bangs framing her face.


Barker, 50, kept his style classic in a black suit, finishing the outfit with dark square sunglasses. 


He was also joined by his son Landon, 22, who wore a pinstriped suit with no shirt underneath.


The couple held hands as they posed for photographers on the red carpet, marking a notable public appearance together.


Barker’s documentary is scheduled to stream on Hulu on August 13.


Their last red carpet appearance as a couple was at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards in January 2024.
