Man Announces Divorce Of Wife Via Facebook Post
A Nigerian man, Muhammad Kabir, has announced the divorce of his wife, Bilkisu, through a Facebook post.
Kabir made the announcement on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
In the post, he wrote: “Me Muhammad Kabir, I divorce my wife Bilkisu 3 times divorce. Id!ot.”
The statement appeared to reference the Islamic practice known as triple talaq, in which a husband pronounces divorce three times to end a marriage.
The validity and legal recognition of such divorces vary depending on the jurisdiction and applicable religious or civil laws.
