Al-Mustapha Dismisses Ex-DSS Operative’s Claims on Abacha’s Death Former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd.), has dismissed claims made by former Department of State Services operative, Dennis Amachree, regarding the circumstances surrounding the late military ruler’s death. Al-Mustapha described the account as false and urged Nigerians to disregard it. He spoke with journalists on the sidelines of the 3rd General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference held at Arewa House in Kaduna on Saturday. His reaction followed renewed public attention on Amachree’s memoir, The Shadow Warrior, in which the retired DSS officer reportedly detailed his account of the events leading to Abacha’s death on June 8, 1998.  Missing Minnesota woman found alive after days stuck in muddy puddle, rescuers say

A 68-year-old Minnesota woman who had been reported missing was found alive after spending days trapped in a muddy puddle, according to rescuers.

Kathryn Woessner was last seen on June 3 and was discovered on June 6. Authorities said she had no personal belongings with her when she was located.

According to the men who found her, Woessner said her car had become stuck, and she was attempting to get free when she slipped while moving around the vehicle and fell into a mud-filled area roughly two feet deep. She described the mud as feeling like quicksand.

Rescuers said she told them she had been stuck on her back for several days and had suffered significant sun exposure, including a serious sunburn on her face.

Due to underlying medical conditions, she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
