Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.  Nonye Soludo Celebrates Husband, Honours Fathers Worldwide On Father's Day

The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has celebrated fathers worldwide, describing their love, sacrifice and guidance as critical to building stronger homes and societies.


In a Fathers' Day message posted on her official Facebook page today, June 21, Mrs. Soludo said fathers shape lives and strengthen the fabric of our homes and society through daily commitment and leadership.


She paid special tribute to her husband, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, describing him as a devoted and exceptional father whose values, discipline and unwavering commitment inspire their family.


“Today, I especially celebrate my dear husband, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, a devoted and exceptional father whose values, discipline, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire our family,” she wrote.


Dr. Soludo noted that she and the couple’s six children are grateful for the love, strength, wisdom and exemplary leadership the governor provides daily.


She also appreciated fathers striving to raise purposeful children, saying their impact reaches far beyond the walls of your home and extends into the future of our communities.


“To every father striving to lead with purpose and raise children who will make a positive difference in the world, thank you. Your impact reaches far beyond the walls of your home and extends into the future of our communities,” she added.
