KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. Overturned semi-truck releases 2 million bees onto Texas highway, prompting shelter-in-place warning

Residents of a Texas neighborhood were urged to shelter indoors on Sunday after an overturned semi-truck released an estimated 2 million bees onto a local roadway.

The incident occurred in the Mauriceville area when an 18-wheeler, transporting roughly 50,000 pounds of live bees, rolled over while attempting to negotiate a turn near the intersection of Colony Drive and FM 1130. While the commercial truck driver escaped the accident without injuries, the crash ruptured the cargo containers, causing a massive swarm of insects to quickly flood the surrounding area.

In response to the hazard, emergency services personnel issued a warning advising nearby homeowners to stay inside with their doors and windows shut. A local television photographer capturing footage of the scene was reportedly stung during the containment efforts.

A coalition of local apiarists—ranging from large-scale commercial operators to backyard enthusiasts—quickly mobilized at the crash site. The volunteer beekeepers worked collaboratively to safely round up the displaced swarms and load them onto replacement vehicles for transport to a regional honey farm.
