 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE SWIFT RESPONSE: POLICE/COMMUNITY ARREST TWO ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS, RECOVER STOLEN VALUABLES IN BIRSHI GANDU In its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, the Bauchi State Police Command,  has recorded yet another commendable breakthrough following prompt response to a distress report. On 17th October, 2026 at about 1015hrs, four complainants (two males and two females), all of Birshi Gandu, reported at 'E' Division that on the same day, while they were asleep in their compound housing Cozy Resort Hotel, three hoodlums armed with knives and machetes forcefully broke in and dispossessed them of their personal belongings including Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23, Redmi Note 14, iPhones, iPads, a Lenovo laptop, a Samsung tablet, power banks, earpods and other valuables running into millions of Naira, including office ID cards and driver's license.  PLATEAU STATE POLICE COMMAND CONFIRMS DEATH OF THREE SECURITY PERSONNEL AT NIPSS KURU-JOS


The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the death of three security personnel at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru- Jos during a security incident that occurred early Tuesday morning. 


A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Alfred Alabo, indicates that the incident  involved security personnel on duty at the institute. 


SP Alfred Alabo disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Bassey Ewah, has deployed additional security reinforcements to the area, while patrols have been intensified to ensure the safety of residents and prevent any further breach of security.


Police say the situation has been brought under control and normal activities have resumed in and around the institute.


The police spokesman added that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.


He urged members of the public to remain calm, vigilant and go about their lawful businesses without fear.
