 PLATEAU STATE POLICE COMMAND CONFIRMS DEATH OF THREE SECURITY PERSONNEL AT NIPSS KURU-JOS


The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the death of three security personnel at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru- Jos during a security incident that occurred early Tuesday morning. 


A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Alfred Alabo, indicates that the incident  involved security personnel on duty at the institute. 


SP Alfred Alabo disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Bassey Ewah, has deployed additional security reinforcements to the area, while patrols have been intensified to ensure the safety of residents and prevent any further breach of security.


Police say the situation has been brought under control and normal activities have resumed in and around the institute.


The police spokesman added that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.


He urged members of the public to remain calm, vigilant and go about their lawful businesses without fear.
