 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  Freedom at Last! Police Rescue Ex-Minister Adelabu’s Sister and Twin Sons in High-Stakes Ibadan Operation


In a major triumph for local law enforcement, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have successfully rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons, Peter and Paul, after three agonizing days in captivity.


The high-stakes, late-night rescue operation was executed at approximately 7:30 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Security sources confirm that the mother and her children were recovered alive and well.


The Abduction


Mrs. Adegoke, who is the younger sister of Nigeria's immediate past Minister of Power, Adegoke Adelabu, was kidnapped alongside her twin sons in Ibadan on Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026, at around 7:30 AM. The brazen daylight abduction had triggered an intensive, multi-agency manhunt across Oyo State and its environs.
