 Barack Obama 'confident' America will have a female president 'sometime soon': 'It’ll become normalized' Barack Obama recently expressed optimism about America’s political future, saying he believes the country will elect a female president “sometime soon.”  In an interview with People, the former president explained that just as his own election in 2008 helped normalize the idea of a Black president, he expects that a woman in the Oval Office will eventually be seen as unremarkable.  He noted that once the milestone is reached, public focus will shift to everyday issues like gas prices and policy outcomes rather than the novelty of gender.  Rep Daniel Amos Announces Appointment Of 14 Senior Legislative Aides To Speaker Abbas


Member representing Jema'a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Amos, has announced the appointment of 14 individuals as Senior Legislative Aides (SLAs) to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Ph.D.


The newly appointed aides are:

3. Rabiu Ahmed

4. Joshua Peter

5. Victor Audu Amwe

6. Hassan Mohammed Sinusi

7. Gideon Audu

8. Esther John Bezard

9. Hananiya Dogari Tekwa

10. Idash Aisha Aliyu

11. Obed Damian

12. Kuje Habila Akolo

13. Christopher Kpanja Jacob Usman

14. Gambo Benjamin Abrak


Hon. Amos expressed profound gratitude to the Speaker for the appointments, describing the gesture as a reflection of Rt. Hon. Abbas' commitment to inclusive leadership and the development of competent individuals for community and national service.


"I convey my deepest appreciation to the Rt. Hon. Speaker for extending this opportunity, further demonstrating his commitment to inclusive leadership and the nurturing of capable hands for community and national service," he stated.


The lawmaker congratulated the appointees and urged them to view their appointments as both an honour and a responsibility. He charged them to carry out their duties with diligence, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose in order to justify the confidence reposed in them and contribute meaningfully to effective legislative service.


Hon. Amos further wished the appointees a successful, rewarding, and impactful tenure in their new roles.
